How are total rounds bets settled in boxing/MMA?

Total round lines are often quoted with a half-round line (such as 4.5 or 2.5), where the 0.5 represents the exact halfway point of that scheduled round.

Round Group Betting groups the match into blocks of rounds (e.g., Rounds 1–3, Rounds 4–6, or Rounds 7–12).

For settlement purposes, betting on rounds or groups of rounds refers specifically to a fighter winning by KO, TKO, Disqualification, or Submission (MMA) during that round or group of rounds.

If a match is interrupted for any reason in between rounds—such as a fighter retiring on their stool, failing to answer the bell, or being disqualified before the next round begins—the fight is deemed to have officially finished at the end of the previous round.

If the referee stops a fight early due to an accidental injury (like a cut from an accidental clash of heads) and it goes to the judges' scorecards before the scheduled rounds are completed, this is a Technical Decision.

Because the fight did not end in a KO, TKO, DQ, or Submission, all Round Group Betting and Total Rounds offers will be declared void (unless the outcome of the bet was already mathematically determined).
